  • This 4 weekend Basic Course will give you all the tools which you need to start your Thai Massage journey. We will learn traditional Thai Massage oriented on the 10 Energy lines, which are the foundation of Thai Massage. Stimulation of the lines is done by acupressure or stretches. Our goal is to balance the energy system of our patient to support and facilitate relaxation and healing. We will learn the map of the Energy lines, how to apply pressure, and safe stretches. To loosen up the body and joints we will also include some dynamic techniques.
  • A main focus will be learning how to work from our center, using our body weight instead of our muscles. Starting from the feet we move towards the head with daily demonstrations, theory and practice time. During the course we will learn different techniques, which will then allow us to do a massage of about 2,5 hours (of course a shorter massage is possible).
  • You will receive a certificate of tuition after the completion of the course. The Course language is English and/or German depending on the participants.

So already after the 1st weekend you will be able to do a full body massage.

  • In this workshop, we will explore how to effectively use our feet, knees, and elbows in massage treatments while maintaining the same sensitivity and precision as when working with our hands.
  • We will apply the same core principles used in hand-based massage—moving from the center and utilizing bodyweight. These techniques allow us to apply progressive pressure with minimal effort (through sinking and resting) and help prevent injury to the thumbs and wrists, offering them a chance to recover. A key focus of the workshop will be on correct angles and positioning, ensuring the practitioner can work comfortably and efficiently with minimal strain.
  • This course is designed for advanced students and practitioners from any bodywork background. Upon completing the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion.

  • In this unique 4-day course, we are going to open up the possibilities of offering Thai massage by using our feet.
  • Working with your feet is a great tool to have as a massage therapist, as it allows your arms and wrists to have a rest and can help when massaging heavier people with a strong constitution.
  • During this course, we will address our own issues related to balance, steadiness and centering, which initiates a strong connection to the earth and qualities such as feeling grounded, nurtured and supported. Using the feet in this way opens up the meridians in the foot and brings this level of sensitivity in our daily life as we walk, stand, dance, run, climb and use our feet to move and support us. It opens our connection to the Earth to operate on a much deeper level.
  • In terms of massage treatments, we will learn how to use the feet in both static and dynamic ways in the prone, supine and side positions. We will practice together daily healing therapeutic Qi Gong to enhance this connection to the earth and stimulate the earth channel in our bodies. We also experience how to work with our knees, forearms.

  • This 3-day workshop will focus on the essential aspects of giving Thai massages to pregnant women. We will address key questions such as: When is it safe to perform Thai massage during pregnancy? What precautions should be taken? Which points should be pressed or avoided? How can we make the experience as comfortable as possible for the expectant mother? These and other technical considerations will be discussed and demonstrated by Bali in two daily sessions, where he will give massages to two pregnant participants. Following each demonstration, participants will have time to practice Thai Yoga Massage on each other, reinforcing the techniques learned.
  • As the workshop is focused solely on pregnancy, it is open to pregnant women with no prior experience in Thai massage, who wish to receive treatments, as well as pregnant practitioners who want to give and receive treatments. Couples are also welcome: whether the partner is a therapist or has no previous experience, this is an opportunity to learn how to give supportive massages during pregnancy. In cases where neither partner has experience, we recommend reading materials on energy lines and the theory of Thai Yoga Massage before the course. For them, it’s also a good idea to receive a Thai massage from a Sunshine Network practitioner beforehand.
  • The workshop will take place at the beautiful HeileHaus, a green retreat in the heart of Berlin. To create a cozy and welcoming environment, a delicious vegan and gluten-free lunch will be prepared each day by our valued cook, Franzi Fielder. Herbal teas will also be provided throughout the day.
