Lahu Village, Northern Thailand, Sunshine Network Center (owned and operated by Ser Jamoo and Chatchai Jamu). Thai massage research facility.
Founded by the late Asokananda more than 30 years ago, this Thai Massage research facility is based in Huai Naam Rin, a small and beautiful Lahu hill tribe village.
12 days Thai massage foundation courses are available throughout the year and are taught by senior teacher of the Sunshine Network, personally trained by Asokananda. Students share the Lahu hospitality as accommodation is provided by Lahu families in simple bamboo or wooden style huts.
A 8 days Keralite Massage - Chavutty Thirummal course is also available, once a year in March, taught by one of the Sunshine Network most senior teacher. This Class is not available at the moment.
Rice vegetarian meals and fruit, are provided three times a day. Transport to and from the village and course material are also included in the course fee.
A program of Vipassana meditation, Yoga or Tai Chi, integrated in the Thai massage course, provides the students with a thorough background (This program is from October till May only).
PLEASE NOTE: We depart for the village, from the meeting point, one day before the course starts and we return to the meeting point in the afternoon of the last day of the course. (i.e. if the date of the course are 10th to 21st May, we depart from the meeting point on the 9th of May and we return in town on the 21st around 3pm). Meeting point time is at 12,30pm.
